Fueled
by a million
man-made
wings of fire –
the rocket tore a tunnel
through the sky –
an
everybody cheered.
Fueled
only by a thought from God –
the seedling
urged its way
through the thickness of black –
and as it pierced
the heavy ceiling of the soil –
and launched itself
up into outer space –
no
one
even
clapped.

Man is the creation of God which has lead to invention of things. Man is now thinking that his invention is greater than the God's creation. His creation are leading to destruction of his own. The poet has brought out this fact in sarcastic, romantic and stylistic manner by placing the words in a unique manner inorder to impress some of them on the mind of the reader so that he could understand the core of his story. In this way, anti-industrial, stylistic and the difference between creation and invention has been brought out.

'Fuelled' is a structurally perfect masterpiece that graphically describes the theme it discusses. The poem contrasts the greatness of god's creation and the pettiness of man's invention.
The first part of the poem describes the proud cheering of the people at the launch of a rocket and the second describes the emergence of a sapling from the earth. Both the sections begin with the word 'fuelled' that also forms the title of the poem. The usage of 'fuelled' in the first section refers to the rocket that has been fuelled by man's intelligence and the second refers to to the surfacing of a sapling that has been fuelled by god.
The poet defines his own style by using only two punctuation marks. To stress on certain facts the poet uses one word in each line. The poet uses metaphors such as 'wings of fire'.It is a romantic poem in the sense that it believes that human beings are essentially good but once they come away from nature civilization corrupts them. the poet ' Marcie Hans' shares the views of romantic age poets like Wordsworth and Coleridge.
Hence we can see that the poet has a distinct style of his own which is clearly visible from the poem.

The poet has given us a description of the scene where a rocket takes off into the sky and the reactions of the people who had been watching it.This poem is extremely unique in terms of presentation, style and conveyance of an important message in an unconventional manner. It brings out the hard truth that man is in need of security and advancement that he is ready to go to any lengths for achieving his objectives.
The style and appearance of the poem on paper speaks volumes of its impact on the reader.I think the last four lines of the poem are the most effective. It points out the fact that man is so used to pollution, illusionary progress and so called sense of achievement.
Can he really be satisfied in spite of the fact that he is interfering in nature's processes and balance? The poem seems to answer just this.
It exhibits the dilemma of man.Man knows what he is doing is wrong.Yet he does not know what else he should do to solve the problem he is facing. It also shows that a huge amount of efforts are used for building rockets and other such things. Thus the poet wants to make us aware of what we are doing and makes us realise the need to know where to draw the line of advancement and progress.

The poem 'Fueled'by Marcie Hans goes a long way in showin the diffrence between Man and God on the basis of their perception of achievement.
The invention of the rocket, which can be used as a weapon of mass destruction, was considered as one of Man's greatest achievements. The line 'million wings of fire' here signifies the number of attempts Man failed at creating a functional rocket. And when finally he did everybody cheered.
On the other hand God is inspired by a thought of creating something, something unique, something beautiful in its own way. The poet here describes the simple process of a seedling breaking through the upper layer of the soil, and when this event takes place there is nobody to applaude. This shows that Man has taken God's creations for granted and is too caught up in his own inventions.
Man here is shown as arrogant and proud. God is shown as the epitome of humility.

INTRODUCTION
------------
Man was created by god ,there was a time when man followed god, but due to the new discoveries, man forgot the way of god and he himself acted like god having discovered something which would make him like god.
Man felt that his intelligents is greater than god ,but his creations have caused only much destruction, which will one day bring an end to himself and the world.
This poem talks about the word fuelled which is the invention of man/his knowledge, and the second talks about the little sappling, which has been fuelled by god for which no one claps when it surfaces.
This poem is against the invention of man and it is a bit of romantic ,since it contains a sentence like 'wings of fire'. it has brought about the differents between God's creation and man's invention.

This poem critically contrasts the man's invention with God's creation.Man with the latest technology invents such a thing which has the ability to destroy mankind. The former never realizes that man alone is responsible for digging his own grave. The invention of man can only hurt the atmosphere by 'tearing or piercing' through it.The creation of God stating that a seedling pushed its way through the soil layer has a flourishing effect on nature but never applauded by a man.
The creation of God is discounted when compared to the man's unbearable achievements. Time has fled man away from God and man being selfish has denied the significance of creation of God and cheered only for his fellow beings invention.

In this poem fueled, the author compares a rocket launch with the sprouting of a seedling,

the difference is language used while describing both the events is highly noticeable ,while the rocket launch is being described with hard hitting words showing utter contempt the author has for the highly over publicized achievements of man, it also shows has a inner meaning that man has his destructive ways of doing things this is evident from words used like 'fire’ which is used to get a negative feel in many poems as well as 'tore through the sky "

while in the second part of the poem describes a seeding ,which is gods work ,and its achievements in a very simpethatic way, and with high regard to its simple achievements
the whole climax of the poem emphasizes one simple fact that mans fails to appreciate the simply manificent works of god which he cant even imagine of replicate but tries so hard to do it and fails along the way ...

In this poem the poet talks about God's creation and man's invention. The poet says that mankind today is more drawn towards the artificail inventions and avoids and ignores the beauty of naural happenings. A rocket seems to overpower a seedling that grows into a plant for man today. Little does he know that inventions are not permanent and infact they are self destructive. On the other hand the natural occurances are the beautiful and rare creations of the powerful God. But man today has become corrupted and is unknowingly heading to his doom.

'FUELLED'

Marcie Hans in the poem is trying to show the contrast between the natural beauty and Man's creations. Nature made man and now man ungratefuly has started ignoring nature. The poet is saying how man has stopped appreciating the beauty of nature and only think of his creations. By giving an example of a sprouting plant poet has showed how every small thing of nature is beautiful.
Man made things have curtained the importance of nature. They are destructive and are fatal. Man should turn back and try to realise the importance of nature which has given birth to them if not it can also become the reason of their destruction.

The poem 'Fueled' by Marcie Hans really is a hard hitting reality check for human beings. Personally, being a nature lover, the poem is a really fair perception how we treat nature and the creations around us and put ourselves before everything and everyone else despite us being just another result of a simple thought of God.
The language plays a very important role in getting the message across to the readers. The words in both parts of the poem have been carefully selected to be similar and to convey comparison. To catch the attention of the readers and make the poem unique, the poet has given it distinct features like very few punctuations and short sentences of even just one word. The description of man's invention (a rocket) and the god's creation (the sprouting seedling) is very well brought out by the language. Ultimately, I guess we stand nowhere with comparison to god and fail to realize that the true value of greatness is not achievement or success but the humility we retain thereafter. After all it takes us years of work and research to actually bring our inventions to 'life' but all it takes God is a mere thought to create something as beautiful and mind-blowing as the world we live in.

In the poem "Fueled" the poet criticises the industrial revolution and and compares the man's creations with those of God.
To make the readers intrested and to differentiate his own style of writing from that of the others, the poet has used only two types of punctuations in his poem i.e. (-) and (.) he also didn't use any rhyming words which is common in other poems. In some of the lines the poet uses only single words to emphasize on how man appreciates his own creations and doesn't care about those of God taking the examples of a "Tree" and a "Rocket."
The poet also uses metaphores like "Wings of fire" and "Through the sky" which denote the ultimate power of man's creations and others like "Through the thickness of black" and "The heavy ceiling of the soil" which signify the purity and simplicity of Gods creations. To highlight these metaphores the poet takes the help of hyphens(-) which makes the reader think on these points and contemplate on the destructive nature of man's creations.

The poem "Fueled" depicts a contrast between the creations of man and that of God.
This poem can be broadly categorized into two halves.
Throughout the poem the poet makes the use of only two forms of punctuation. He does this in order to make the overall impact of the poem harder on the reader. This poem is not a frivolous piece of work, it sends across a strong message- almost a warning, to the reader.
The first half shows the poet's aversion to the fatal creations of man. He uses strong and destructive words and beautiful metaphors to describe a rocket launch, but it also has a much deeper meaning. The poet is perhaps trying to show the destructive nature of all the inventions of man. It shows how man is killing nature and ultimately himself by trying to emulate God.
In the second half of the poem, the poet describes the sprouting of a seed. He uses simple yet beautiful words to describe one of the most amazing miracles of nature- the beginning of life.
From being a part of his natural surroundings, man today has come a long way. His desire to create, shows a sinister side of the human mind- The desire to be God. Man has stopped appreciating the million miracles that nature displays everyday as he is busy rejoicing in his own glory.
The poet sends across a strong message to the reader with this poem- Making the world a better place is God's job, we should just leave upto Him.

The stroke of genius in Marcie Hans poem, 'Fueled' lies in it's many interpretations. From my first reading of the poem emerged contrasting images- a fueled rocket tearing through the sky and simultaneously, a driven seedling bursting through the earth! I find it interesting that these two images are so different and yet they join forces to tell a story, to spread a message.
The first, most obvious theme is the dichotomy between creation and invention of God and humans respectively. In that respect, I'd like to say that while it requires 'a million man-made wings of fire' to propel a rocket into space, a single thought from God can plant a tree or grow a forest.. Perhaps that is why human beings are being appreciated for the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into that rocket. But for mankind to altogether ignore the wonders of creation is plain arrogance. What's worse is to abuse it! God has made beings that are human- and it is human to crave an audience to watch them 'play God' - Human beings have the tendency to believe they are the masters of their own destiny, the star of their movie, the invincible super-heroes of their time. They believe that the Earth is simply a premise for them to perform (like the sets of a movie) and thus, just how everything (the backdrop scenery, costumes, etc.) and everybody (other members of the cast, The Director himself) fade away when the lead actor takes centre stage, similarly the Earth and God himself is taken for granted.
The stylistic features of the poem jumped out at me the second time I read the poem. Apart from the word 'Fueled' every other first word of every line of the poem does not begin with a capital letter. There are two full stops which indicate the close of a paragraph but the poem is otherwise punctuated by hiphen's. Some lines consist of one word, then two, back to one, sometimes three. It is obvious that the poet aimed to create some kind of special effect but what that is exactly is not very clear. This almost stacatto spacing of the words places emphasis on certain ideas which reflect a very matter-of-fact representation of harsh reality. For example, by giving tiny words like 'no,' 'one,' 'even' and 'clapped' separate lines puts emphasis on the fact that not a single person takes time out of their busy schedules to even watch the birth of a seedling, much less be grateful to God for his work. Seems to me that it is a thankless job to be God!
The third interpretation of the poem as illustrating an anti-industrial nature is perhaps to me the most interesting. Man is in constant pursuit of material pleasure- faster cars, a bottomless bank account, technological supremacy... All this reeks of man's attempt to alienate himself from what is traditional, what is uncomplicated and from a critic of Literature's point of view, Romantic. Man's inventions are somewhat temporary and definitely earthly for he will take none of his pride and glory when he takes leave from earth while nature being permanent since the dawn of creation is classic and timeless. Creation brings forth images of all things bright and beautiful while Invention talks of gadgets and cement and congestion- crowding of our earth and the clashing of what is natural with what is man-made and thus artificial. Man-made inventions have shattered the age-old sentiment of stopping to smell the roses and perhaps, this is something the poet feels strongly about. Hans seems to urge us to go back to a simpler time, where every man, every night, would say a small thank-you prayer to His Creator before he closed his eyes.

In the short poem'Fueled'the poet Marcie Hans describes two achievemente, one of man and the other of God.Man,in order to send a rocket into the sky had to struggle hard and improve his earlier devices again and again till he succeeded.
The length of the lines do not contribute to rhyme or rhythm in the poem. The poem is more or less in a prose form. Each of the last four words has been written as a seperate line. The author's intention may be that the words should be read with pauses to produce a contrasting effect in the minds of the reader. The reader knows that when an event occurs producing a sudden change,it attracts man's attention and reactions than an event which occurs over a long period of time. The launching of a rocket has many sensory appeals to the man than the silent growth of a seed into a plant.
Man's work creates imbalance in nature and destroys the enviornment whereas God's work maintains the balance in nature and adds to the welfare of all living creatures.Man's achievement is petty.God's work is substantial and useful to all.

Industry has brought about devastation to Nature and thus to God.God's creations are eco-friendly like the seeds which help in reconstructuring the environment.
God's laws are broad-based and exact unlikeman's laws which are fickle like the mind and more subject to flexibility and change.
God has been gifting us with more and more resources and we have been unthankfully exploiting these resources and more often than not, misusing them, abusing our right to use these resources. These can be clearly identified with when Marcie Hans describes the rocket to be fuelled by a "million wings of fire".
Invention has brought about modernization of the world which has in turn, created disparities, whereas God has tried to unite us.
In the poem Marcie Hans has made use of notably stylistic features not noticeable in poems of today, the most noteable being the use of two and only two punctuations,i.e,the hyphene(-)and the full stop(.) .This,we believe, lies in the fact that the poem wants to stress on the message that he is trying to impart to us --- that people should stop applauding the wonders of man and appreciate the marvel of God,which He has created for all the world to see.The poet has also used single, double and triple words throughout the poem to further re-enhace this message,to lay strees on what he wants the readers to know. The poet has used single words at the start of paragraphs and in the last four lines.Single words at the start of the paragraph have been used to stress on the word 'Fueled'.
In the first paragraph,it has been used in order to imply the fact that the rocket which is man's creation was 'fueled' by God's gift of natural resources. This just shows that absent-mindedly too,man is dependant on God.
In the second paragraph the word 'Fueled' has been used to describe God's creation. It shows how the tree is literally fuelled by God's will and it grows into a tree.
In the last four lines Marcie Hans has used single words to describe the fact that man has been so caught up in his own lifestyle that he has forgotten about Nature, about his surroundings, his environment. It shows how man has forgotten God.God has gifted man all he has and yet,man is not thankful. The poet tries to show that man, now, appreciates only his own creation and has no appreciation for the creations of God.
The poem is "anti-industrialized"in the sense that the poet has tried to bring to the attention of mankind that he will bring about his own destruction.
The world has become so advanced,so technology-oriented,so industrialized, that man can spare time for no-one but himself.Man does not have time for his "Creator" also. The poem shows how man has put all his energy into making such technological advancements such as rockets so that he can prove to others that he is no less than God.Man tries to feel like God,to be God.The launching of the rocket shows his attempt to reach the skies where it is supposed, lies God's Haven.
However, the poet shows that man can never be God bacuse of His immense power that just a thought from God manages to raise a tree out of a sapling.
The rocket is a futile attempt for man to reach God.However,Marcie Hans tries to show through the sapling that though man is trying to connect to God,it is instead God who is attempting to connect with man.The sapling which rises out of the soil,as described by the poet,is an attempt to show that God resides in the tree. The soil described as "black" and the process of the sapling being launched into "outer space" also shows that man does not need industrialization to reach God.The synonyms used such as "black" and "outer space" also re-emphasize space as it is,which is the ultimate destination to reach God.Man can reach Him by just connecting through Nature.
Industrialization has destroyed Nature and it is in Nature in which God resides. Thus, the poet has tried to say that in order to rach God,to respect God,man must preserve Nature.
Thus, the poet shows that man should forego industrialization, not wholly but partially, and thus, manage to reach God.

Marcie Hans describes through this poem, the contrast between man and God. The poem can be described as romantic, and satirical at the same time.

How the creation of a single rocket makes man proud of himself, and how God remains humble inspite of creating the most wonderful thing of all- life, shows the romantic part of the poem.

The poet also shows sarcarsm in the poem by using only two punctuation marks. And by concluding the poem with the four words "no one even clapped", he highlights this point.

Hence the poet intends to drive home the fact that man is proud and pompous and expects appreciation even though his most powerful inventions are insignificant in comparison to even the smallest creations of God.

In the short poem 'Fueled', Marcie Hans contrasts the achievements of man with those of the Creator. The poet balances the two achievements and points out that the achievement of man is quite insignificant compared with the work of God.

The author contrasts the launching of a rocket into space with the growth of a seed into a plant. He tries to bring home the fact that the silent work of God is incomparably more useful than the expensive launching of a rocket.

The poem brings to light how man takes for granted, God’s creations, and how he expects praise and appreciation for his petty achievements. Whereas, although God’s work is substantial and useful to all he remains humble.

The poem has a highly romantic element. And the poet thinks that man is silly because he rejoices at his petty achievements while ignoring the great and useful creations of God.

This poem "Fuelled" by Marcie Hans is a very well written and it has a very effective theme. The beauty of the poem lies in the fact that this poem can be interpreted in a lot of ways. The mere arrangement of words is so unique and effective which contributes to the beauty of the poem.As one can notice the whole poem has been structured in a way as to resemble a 'Rocket'and a 'Tree',both of which is referred to in the poem.Another unique feature is the punctuation used by the poet-the whole poem consists only of '.'and '-'ie full stop and hyphen.the hyphen has been used to stress on those words which give out the crux of the poem. For eg.'wings of fire","thickness of black".The word "Fuelled" has been intentionally repeated to create a better impact on the reader. The metaphors like 'wings of fire'etc makes the poem more distinctive.

The theme of the poem, the pride of human beings in comparison with humility of God,has been illustrated with the example of the invention of rocket by man and the creation of plant by God.The poet talks about how man boasts of having invented a rocket after so much of hard work and dedication and how God created the plant life and is so humble not to take credit for it.It shows the greatness of God and the immaturity of man. Also we can witness how powerful God is-It took him just a thought to create something whereas man had to struggle for years together to create something smaller. It says that the materialistic world of man is just a miniature in front of the world of love and beauty created by God.While God is trying to create life ,man is trying to destroy the same.

Concludingly, this poem by Marcie Hans has succeeded in its aim to bring out,in simple words, the contrast between creation of God and invention of man.The poem is thought-provoking and enjoyable.

To me this poem was a real good contrast of how man was and how man is. At the start every creation of god seemed marvelous and man spent years wondering how he had evolved and how everything else around had come into existence. As time went by he became self absorbed and began making things of his own. This poem mainly looks like a comparison between the attitude of man and god. The stylistic features of the poem do more than justice to the meaning to be conveyed. The usage of minimal punctuations and short sentences catches the attention of the readers. Also the usage of similar words to describe both man's invention and god's creation makes the poem simple yet very meaningful. In conclusion, I would say the highlight is that God creates beautiful things like this world we live in with just a simple thought and does it with humility. But man takes years of work to bring something like a rocket to life and dwells on his achievement and fails to notice that what he has done barely makes a difference to the world and the people around him.

The poem 'fueled' by Marcie Hans talks about the contrast between the creation of Gods work and man's.Even though the poem seems to be simple plain there is a vast depth to it.The poet leaves it to the imagination of the readers to find out what really lies beneath.the poet uses very few punctuations and very short sentences, this brings out the uniqueness of his poem.
Earlier the word creation would have brought to the mind of man the numerous creations of God and his greatfulness towards them, but now when we hear the word creatin we only think of the petty creations of man and applaud them.
Man being one of the creations of God has come to think of himself as a more superior being. He fools himself by thinking that his inventions are greater. No doubt man has made treamendous progress over the generations, but the work of God is incomparable. He is bringing to himself the destruction of his own inventions by his ingratitude towards the work of God.The poet uses a sarcastic note to communicate this view. The poet uses the word fueled in both parts of the poem,by this he means to show that both the rocket and the tree were fuelled. The rocket being man's creation was cherred but there was no appreciation given to the work of God.This shows the vainess that has blinded man.Hans in this poem sems to want every reader to realise that there was a simpler time when man was greatful to his creater, when he worshiped the creations of God and not of his own.He perhaps wishes the readers to once again be greatful for the creations of God as we our selves are one of the greatest creations of God.

Man is dramatic and likes to be appreciated.God's creation is always silent and only the observer who understands and thinks can appreciate. This contrast is brought out in the poem 'FUELED'.Man's creation is fueled by an ambitious desire to succeed which ultimately leads to his own destruction.God's creation is fueled with silence, longevity and sustenance which has been brought out in the second part of the poem which tells us about the sprouting of the sapling .The poet by using very few words and only two punctuations such as the comma and a full stop brings about the uniqueness of the poem and leaves an esoteric impression on the readers. To conclude the poet has beautifully phrased the silent creation of God vs the dramatic invention of MAN in this case the rocket which eventually dies like the fire. This also emphasizes the romantic style of the poet.

"Fueled" by Marcie Hans is a poem written in a remarkable style as the poetess is able to bring out the fact about how people percieve life in this industrial age. In the first para the poetess talks about an invention of mankind "The Rocket" and how upon its success of flight it is acknowledged and cheered upon by civilization. The second para is about how a simple creation of God "A Seedling" pushes it way throught the soil to grow into a tree. But no one realizes this achievement. By this the poetess in an sarcastic way is enlightening us about how in our excitement of industrial creations we have forgotten the simplest of all creations that God has given to us. It shows how lost civilization is in this materialistic world; that we have forgotten the roots of life, that we have forgotten to appreciate the beautiful and amazing things God has created to make this world a paradise. Also the difference in humility is shown between man and God.

Marcie Hans in the poem "Fuelled" describes how the creation of God and invention of man are never the same. Creation is timeless, invention is time bound. Creation generally has a positive effect while invention tends to caste a negative effect. Creation rarely does receives appreciation, on the other hand invention always has a huge fan following. Immaterialisticness defines creation and invention is defined as materialistic. Invention is dependent on creation. In absence of creation, invention will cease to exist. Creation is natural whilst, invention is artificial. Inventions are driven by the sources of energy. On the contrary, the supreme driving force of creations is The God Himself. Creation is characterised by its sheer simplicity, but complexity is the main feature of invention. Creation begets humility.Contradictorily, invention gives birth to pride. creation is spiritual in terms of process, whereas invention is purely an intellectual process.
This makes me to perceive the poem as anti-industrial. Hans stresses the fact that invention with all its features when taken into account is not safer and better than God's creation, a little ironically and sarcastically.
The most striking stylistic feature of the poem may be the use of only hyphon and full-stop at the end of lines.
Secondly, minimum words are used in lines which gives an emboss effect to the quality of the poem. In short, together they accentuate the eefect of the poem. If observed closely, the arrangement of the words areates an image of a tree and at an other instance, a rocket. The tree symbolises God's creation and the rocket is a symbol of man's invention. Both are 'fuelled' by different powers.

Man knows what he is doing is wrong.Yet he does not know what else he should do to solve the problem he is facing. It also shows that a huge amount of efforts are used for building rockets and other such things. Thus the poet wants to make us aware of what we are doing and makes us realise the need to know where to draw the line of advancement and progress.

Marcie Hans in his poem ‘Fueled’ talks about how silly man is as compared to god, the creator of man. He compares the greatness of gods creation and the pettiness of mans invention.
The poet shows how the masses are amazed at the creation of a few scientists, but they fail to appreciate the significance of god’s wonderful creation.
The first part of the poem describes the proud cheering of the people at the ‘Launching’ of a rocket and the second part describes the humble and silent emergence of a sapling from the earth.
The poem makes a mockery of a man inconsequential achievement and his failure to recognize and worship the meaning and immensity of god conception of the universe.
The style used by Marcie Hans is quite different from the rest of the poets. The poem is a short one with just thirty four words, excluding articles and prepositions.
The lines are short, a few consisting of only one word. The poet shows the balance and the imbalance of ideas.
The poem is divided into two sections, each beginning with ‘Fueled’. The poet indicates that the word ‘launch’ is more suitable for natural emergence of the seedling from the earth and that destructive inventions of man can only hurt the atmosphere.

In the poem 'Fueled', Marcie Hans contrasts the achievements of man with those of the Creator. The poet balances the two achievements and points out that the achievement of man is quite insignificant compared with the work of God.The author draws a contrast of the launching of a rocket into space with the growth of a seed into a plant.

The poem fueled by Marcie Hans gives its readers a clear picture of what man considers important in todays times. The launching of a rocket into space which is mans' invention seems to be more important that the uprising of a seedling ,something that will grow and give us all life. This contrast of mans' reaction to two situations is a clear indication of what people appreciate more in life. The existance of god is seen in everyday life through his creations but man is blinded by his own creations to actuallynotice the real and true meaning of life .This poem is an eyeopener to the real things in life .

"Fuelled"
The poem Fuelled by Marcie Hans is a classic example of the change in the attitude of men towards nature and "creations" of god.The poem talks about the "inventions" by man by the name of a rocket which takes off into space, when fueled. This act calls for applause and celebration on part of the spectators. Mankind has mastered the art of "invention" and has shrunken its horizons by reserving appreciation only for its own inventions. Mankind has conviniently forgotten the "creations" by the almighty which is the reason for sustainance of mankind. mankind has begun to applaud and encourage its own "inventions" , which do prove to be detrimental to the earth. In this poem the poet has started with the shooting of a rocket, an invention of man, into space. This is cheered by the hands which have invented it. But the act of a seeding that pierces its way through the thick layer of soil and grows into a mighty TREE goes unnoticed. nobody even cheers. mankind is building mental blocks which is forcing it into thinking that inventions by man are more important and more effective than creations by god. This is a fatal mistake that is being intentionally committed and which will one day, sooner or later lead to the downfall of the superior beings.
The poet has brought out this novel idea through a number of eye-catching ideas and stylistic ideas. He has used just two punctuation marks (i.e) the full stop and the hyphen along with a unique arangement of the words. This makes the reader take note of each line distictly. The use of metaphors such as "wings on fire" keep the ineterest level high among the readers. the poet in a nutshell is trying to tell us that no matter how great the inventions of man, the creations of god cannot be undermined. He says that no matter how much of advancement there is in terms of technology, god's creations are still by far the best and cannot be compared with the results of industrialisation.

The poem by Marcie Hans talks about creation and invention, the poem shows us the contrast between gods creation and mans invention. Marcie tell us how petty mans inventions are as compared to gods creation.
The imbalance is pointed out because petty man cheers to appreciate the partly success of man and fails to cheer the success of god, the creator
It is a poem which shows how industries and rockets invented by man are going to destroy the earth.
The poem is a short one, but the point is explained to the readers very beautifully.

“Fuelled” has accentuated the dichotomy between the creation and invention by giving an elementary instance of a seedling penetrating from ground and a rocket piercing through sky. The mere rumination of God leads to the creation of seedling which in future will be as creative and productive as its creator. On the contrary, the exertion of multitudes brings the rocket into existence which is bereft of the inevitable trait of creation possessed by the former.

The man today blinded by his conceit undermines the natural phenomenon of creation. He has relegated the creations of God as he has comprehended his ability to invent. The poem pinpoints in a poignant tone, the paltry exhibition of power by man. Thus, Marcie Hans in an intrinsic love towards creation has produced an anti-industrial poem.

Marcie Hans has brought this fact forward by intentionally placing the words in a unique stylistic manner. She has appropriately used hyphen and full-stop. Hyphen is used to give poem a rhythm, while full-stop is used to demarcate creation and invention. We can notice that, in the end, the poetess has placed single word in a line to sarcastically point out the indifference of men towards the wonders of the god.

This poem "Fuelled" by Marcie Hans is a very well written and it has a very effective theme. The beauty of the poem lies in the fact that this poem can be interpreted in a lot of ways. The first part of the poem describes the proud cheering of the people at the launch of a rocket and the second describes the emergence of a sapling from the earth.I think the last four lines of the poem are the most effective. It points out the fact that man is so used to pollution, illusionary progress and so called sense of achievement. Thus, the poet has tried to say that in order to reach God,to respect God,man must preserve Nature.
Thus, the poet shows that man should forego industrialization, not wholly but partially, and thus, manage to reach God.

This is a seemingly simple poem consisting of just 34 words if the artcles, prepositions, & conjunctions are removed. It is a structurally perfected masterpiece that graphically describes the theme it discusses. Each varying line of the poem & the entire poem itself illustratively shows the balance & imbalance of ideas. The poem contrasts the greatness of god’s creation & the pettiness of man’s invention.
Both the sections of the poem begin with word “fuelled” that also forms the title of the poem. The usage of the word in the first section refers to the contraption of a rocket that has been fuelled by man’s intelligence & the second refers to the surfacing of a plantlet that has been fuelled by the sheer imagination of god. The poem makes a mockery of man’s inconsequential achievement & his failure to recognize & worship the meaning & immensity of god’s conception of the universe.
The poet is being critical of man’s petty achievements as compared to the greatness of god’s creation & makes alternative use of the words to indicate the word ‘launch’ is more suitable for the natural emergence of the seedling from the hard crust of the earth & that destructive invention of man can only hurt the atmosphere by ‘ tearing or piercing ‘ through it .

fueled is a romantic poem which exaggerates the creations of god- it points out the incomparable courage of a seedling as it comes out of the ground. man today neglects the wonders of god and considers his ability to create far superior. his inventions are met with cheers and applause while the creations of god are met with oblivion. this fact is impressed upon the mind of the readers by presenting the poem in a stylistic way. the poet has placed the word in a unique way so they emphatatically narrates his notions.

Man is the creation of God which has lead to invention of things. The poet has given us a description of the scene where a rocket takes off into the sky and the reactions of the people who had been watching it.The poem contrasts the greatness of god's creation and the pettiness of man's invention. The style and appearance of the poem on paper speaks volumes of its impact on the reader.I think the last four lines of the poem are the most effective.the whole climax of the poem emphasizes one simple fact that mans fails to appreciate the simply manificent works of god which he cant even imagine of replicate but tries so hard to do it and fails along the way ...

The reader knows that when an event occurs producing a sudden change,it attracts man's attention and reactions than an event which occurs over a long period of time.

The existance of god is seen in everyday life through his creations but man is blinded by his own creations to actuallynotice the real and true meaning of life .This poem is an eyeopener to the real things in life .

There is one more thing which can been seen in the poem ie the modern man does not have time for god or to say does not have time for nature which is god creation.the poet wants to say that man has become so busy in destruting himself that he has forgot to appreciate the natures characteristics.

The poem "fuelled" emphasises on man's perception at various stages in life. At one stage he expresses hsi gratefullness over the fact, that he is a part of the innumerable and varied creations and the other stage he is leaping up the ladder just to forget the surface on which the ladder is placed. This minute sighted mentality has brought immense ruin to mankind. In this poem the reverend poet Marcie Hans has clearly signalled that inventions and discoveries are not tools of peace and prosperity on a macro level. Man needs to generate a thought process and find out the meaning of "development" . Man today intrepets that in the form of urbanisation, but is that anti-mankind?? The poet refelcts in his words his clear intentions of infusing in the reader a sense of realisation of romance between the nature and mankind that is immortal. Fuelled is the development that is focussed by two fronts, one is the man, the other the god. Rocket is an example of thought fuelled by the brain of a man that translated itself into an invention whereas god's invention is of the sapling that turns into a mighty tree. The poet brings an anti-industrial comment in his poem primarily for a reason is because he calculates it, on the basis of the development it has provided against the destruction and the ruin it has caused. I strongly endorse this poem as a tool for self realisation by mankind on how his developmental initiates are backfiring at him.

The poem Fuelled is a romatic poem by Marcie Hans which explains lucidly the difference between the gloriously perfect creation of God and how small man's achievement is compared to God.
He tries to emphasise this point by the stylistic features of the poem. The single words are the words which he wishes to add stress on.The punctuationn marks also add to the effect. An overall solemn mood is created by the language used to address to the import of the issue. The difference in language used is also clearly noticeable .The words used give us the impression that man fishes for compliments for all his work while God is humble and not carried away by His greatness. The poet expresses the shallow ahievements of man with contempt and derisionbut the achievement of God with admiration giving due respect to His creation.
The poem tries to bring home the fact that man is shallow, inconsiderate and does not respect others. He only gives his needs due importance.During this he disrupts the fragile harmony and beauty around him.Othersneeds are secondary to him.He craves for appreciation and praise. His inventions are not longlasting and require updating periodically. It requires lot of time ,effort and patience on his part.He does not stop to appreciate the splendid harmony in all God's creation and does not respect God's efforts to give him a happy home.
On the other hand God created everything perfectly with a fragile balance. He thought and knew our needs even before creating us.He made Earth for our comfort and anticipating our needs. He didnt expect appreciatiation or cheering in return for his gifts to us.On the spur of thought he created everything he wanted to within a timespan of a week(with reference to the Bible). His creations are longlasting and does not require updating. This shows his greatness. Despite eveything he did for us he does not expect anything in return.
The poet wishes us to stop for a moment and think about how great God is and to make us understand that instead of misusing technology, use it in such a way that it does not disrupt the harmony of nature and to be humble. He tries to tell us that materialistic gains is not everything and that without God's grace and mercy nothing is meaningful. He tries to tell us to understand the havoc we are creating before it is too late.

In the poem 'Fueled',the poet talks about man's invention and God's creation by comparing the launching of a rocket and the sprouting of a seedling from the crust of the hard earth. He says that today man are blindfolded that they only appreciates their own destructive inventions and takes the God's creation of the universe for granted & fails to recognize its greatness.
The poet defines his distinct style by using only two types of punctuations marks i.e.(-) and (.) ,metaphors such as "wings of fire" to describe the rocket. Further more, poet uses very short sentences and at the same places only one word in a sentence. Poet has used strong words for launching of rocket while mild words for the sprouting of seed which expresses the intensity of the situation.

Critical Analysis: Fuelled – by Marcie Hans

1. Dichotomy between God’s creation and man’s invention.
The poet paints stark contradiction between the launching of the man-made rocket and that of the tiny seedling.
Man noisily cheers himself and his mechanical creation, applauding his own intellect and genius. He is so enraptured by his invention and his desire for supremacy; he is blind to the greater wisdom, the superior power. For drowned out in the wild celebration, overlooked in the self-congratulation of man, there is launched another creation – a seedling. While the crowds looked to the skies, from the thick heavy earth beneath them rises a seedling, launching itself into the sunshine.
The most glaring difference between God and man’s creation is their fuel: the rocket is powered by fuel man has taken from the earth through years of labour. But the seedling is fuelled by the thoughts of God. A mere fleeting instant in the mind of God inspires life. All man’s wildest creations will never match the quiet life-giving power that springs from god.

2. Stylistic Features
The poet uses a minimalist style to bring into focus the monumental dimensions of her message. Using this bare, stark style, she paints two similar pictures of launching. Yet, they are vastly different. The impact she achieves is doubly profound thanks to the style she employs. The poet does not seek to preach. She gives us two images, and leaves judgment to us - letting wisdom and understanding dawn through the beauty and truth of her poem.

3. Anti-Industrialism and Romanticism
Among the many other things the poet conveys through her poem, there is also the sentiment of Anti-Industrialism. When she describes the rocket as tearing a tunnel through the sky, a feeling of violence and destruction prevails. Perhaps she wants us to realize that all man’s creations come at a price – the slow ravaging of the earth, and the extermination of life.
Against that image, the poet portrays the creation of God that springs forth effortlessly, from a mere thought; that sustains and nourishes the planet, breathing into it a new vitality. And the irony is, that despite being right under their noses, man does not see this miracle. The seedling springs to life alone, unnoticed and uncelebrated.

Marcie Hans through 'FUELED' expresses his view on the wonder of creation and destruction caused by invention. Though he has used simple words but hiswords incorporate the whole thesis in a nutshell. He speaks about man's false achivements about which he boosts a lot but at the same time pays no attention to the wonders of creation. On one hand he says about launching of rockets by god whileon the other hand he speaks about surfacing of a sapling fueled by god.
Here the poet highlights his distinct style of expression. He has used 'Fueled' to mean differentlyin different section. The poet has used metaphores such as 'wings of fire' and 'thickness of black' to expresses his anti-ibndustrial view.to make his view more effective he has used only one word in some lines. The poet has further defined his own style of by using only two kind of punchuation marks. Hence we can see that the poet has a distinct style of his own which is clearly visible from the poem.

Marcie Hans has made a vivid distinction between god's creation and man's inventions. He implores god for his humble and positive creations and at the same time makes no delay in reprimanding man for his negative inventions. He criticises man for the propagation he makes out of his inventions and for the indifference that he exhibits towards god's beautiful creation.
There is also a stylistic feature in the poem. There are certain sentences in the poem which contain only one word and in the entire poem only two punctuations ,namely fullstops and hyphens have been used. However, the most striking facet of thie poem is the sarcasm which is reflected in the poem.In addition,Hans is also a romantic poet.Through the usage of certain words he tries to stress on certain aspects and attempts to create an impression in the mind of the reader.
In conclusion,Hans' poem is all about the large difference between god's creation and man's invention.

Fueled talks about the contrast of man's jubilation between science and the wonders that is made. In the 1st half, Man marvelled and praised the success of the rocket flight into space. Yet the acts of God are gone unnoticed. there are many to be named but the poet talks about the flight of a seedling that struggles its way through the soil and emergerd victorious despite the darkness it was engulfed by.

The poet uses one word in some lines, to emphasize the ignorance of man. His language and use of words, simple yet intense unlike other poems. It doesn't require you to grovel for the meaning. the message is clean and apparent in the 1st reading.

Although he uses, the same word in the beginning of the two cases, it does not mean the same. In both cases it has its own meaning and significance.

Fueled..our minds are fueled by what we see and driven are our thoughts by the same.

To understand the poem simply, we see the difference between man and god.The dichotomy which is determined by the difference of the creator "man" or "god". the poem beautifully emphasises on the very same thing by giving us classic examples of creation (a rocket and a flowering plant). The poet marcie hans does a wonderful job by giving strenght and definition to this concept by using single and double word lines that constitute her poem, impacting strongly upon the reader the very obvious and yet often ignored difference of creation by man on one hand and god on the other.
How easy it is for us to take for granted the world we live in, to forget the flaura and fauna that help us sustain our lives, that give us breath and pay an exaggerated amount of heed to a creation of man, that often is destructive or damaging to our life cycle in one way or another.

Fueled by imagination the poet does a wonderful job of making the readers really think on matters which we wouldn't normally bother with and put aside as trivial.

i wouldn't though classify the poem as anti-industrial as it doesn't quite classify the industrial revolution as a bad thing, and anti-industrial would be too strong a term to apply. but it is romantic as it essentially deals with man and his mind.

This poem mainly talks abt the changes. In the world. In attitude of humanity. They have become more materialistic and have not really appreciated for his greatest work, man. I feel this is true as seen in society as people have less value for human lives and more towards money as seen in present times... I feel the poet has used simple terms to show the complex changes... Now it's upto people to either continue doin wat they want and not attend towards nature or correct their mistakes... In the poem 'Fuelled' by Marcie Hans, we see the difference between man's invention and god's creativty.
The launching of a rocket into space is seen as man's greatest achievement. It is a scale that shows man thinking ability and the levels of his imagination. But he has also become selfish and is only concerned in his material growth. He has failed to realise that he is a creation of god and thinks that he is above god. But, in my opinion, the rocket takes man closer to god. He applaudes his own work but does not look at the world around him and see the wonders of god's work. He is trapped in his own world which is devoid of the concept of god. As man is caught up in his achievements, he fails to notice the struggle that a small seedling has to go through to enter the world. A small but wonderous moment like this is lost on him and god's divine work too.
Man is selfish and has forgotten his creator, who still provides for him. The thought of god is the most powerfull thing and man refuses to see it as he believes that his is he most powerfull.
This poem truly brings out the difference in man's invention and god's creation.

This poem gives us the fact about life as of today. Human beings are the creation of God, and with the superior itelligence given have started creating themselves. As a result of this process we have forgoten our creator and His creations. We have begun to acknowledge only our accomplishments and ignore the simple creations of god. The anti industrialist meaning is clearly shown by the poem in a indirect way.

Fuelled by Marcie Hans is poem about the the difference on between man and God and their creations. When man creates, it is greatly acknowledged and is praised by everyone. But even the simplest of creations of God are forgotten and taken for granted. Man here is shown as arrogant and proud. God is shown with humility as He is. Man though beautifull is being corrupted by himself. This is similar to the saying that people are so caught up in their sophiticated life that they never stop to smell the roses.

The poem shows the contrast between invention of man and God's creation. An imbalance between the two can be seen where the man cheers about himself on the mere invention of a rocket by him but he doesn't appreciate the success of God whose undoubted supremacy in creating everything, which includes even the man, is going unnoticed. Here man is in a deep sleep of ignorance. He is unable to notice the sprouting of seedling but he is cherishing his own invention. The poet has his own distinguished style of writing the poem. The first and the last few sentences have only one word each which to stress on the most important aspect of the poem.Besides, the poet has used only two punctuation marks hyphen(-) and full stop(.).He has used hyphen to describe the metaphores insisting the reader to dive into the deep thoughts and ideas the poem actually contains.

Reading the poem Fueled by Marcie Hans, we can say that , people of the present day appriciate the inventions which have been invented by them but the creation of the god has gone un noticed. When u read the first section of the poem, we see that when the rocket took off ,everybody appricialted it as it was invented by the human beings , but when u read the second section of the poem we can see that the creation of god i.e. the transformation of the seedling into a tree has been unnoticed. The silent success of the god who by mere thought, made an insentient seedling fight against the hard earth and grow up into a tree was never appriciated by anyone.
Nature arround us which has been created by god has been spoilt by humanbeings to fulfill their needs. As a result of which their is an imbalance in nature.
The two sections begin with the word "fueled",but the poet has brought out vast difference between the two kinds of fuelling.
In the first section fuelling the rocket basically means using modern techniques to fuel it which has been invented bythe humanbeings.in the second section fueled basically means that with the help of sunlight and water which are the creations of god a seedling fought against the hard earth and pierced the heavy ceiling of the soil and grew up as a tree.

"Fueled" this poem is a masterpiece. The poet uses amazingly a simple example to show the harsh realities...

The poet is a genius. His examples show in the easiest of manners the attitude of mankind.

Personnally i feel that this poem is simple but true. Mankind has shifted itself far away from god and has become materialistic. this hange has taken mankind towards the brink of destruction...

I think people should stop paying more attention to wealth and methods to gain it, but rather work in tandem with nature and it will benefit them in the long run.

This poem shows us that we have to thank the almighty for each and every thing...

In the poem "Fueled", Marcie Hans has in a nutshell shown the sharp contrast between invention of man and God's creation.
Man rejoices at his trifle achievements whilst in his success ignores the silent achievement of God who is the driving force behind a seedling nudging the adjoining thick and strong earth to grow into a migthty tree. Man associates pride with his every innovation which are complex in nature compared to simple and humble creations of God.
The phenomenon in Nature are great and surpassing than anything which man might have achieved or the ones which he will proudly associate himself with.Perhaps the poet had an idea that the tree that the seedling will turn into is of immense importance to all creatures on earth. The work of God was incompareable and far more useful than the expensive launching of a rocket. So the poet shows an inclination towards the wonders of god.
The poet's intention by using short sentences is to produce a contrasting effect in the minds of readers. The varying length in the two halves shows the imbalance between he invention and creation.

So the poem has been penned down to show the greatness of creation of God against the insignificant achievements of man.

In this poem the poet talks about God's creation and man's invention. The poet says that mankind today is more intrested in the artificail inventions and ignores the beauty of naure in which he is living. The poet has brougt a striking and powerful difference between creation and invention. The poet says that man wants his inventions to be appreciated by every one where as on the other hand he does not want to appreciate the creations of god .This shows how man has maintained double standards,he wants his shortlived invention to be applauded and doesn't applaud on the longevity of God's creation.man doesn't know that his own invention will be a cause for destruction in the near future.creation is eternal because its created by God who is immortal where as invention is ephimeral and mortal same as man .The language used by the poet and also the style of writting this poem plays a very important role in generating intrest among the readers as the lines in the poem are very short some consists only a word in it.The words in the poem have been intelligently selected to convey its meaning and depth of the poem. To catch the attention of the readers and make the poem unique, the poet has given it distinct features like very few punctuations and short sentences of even just one word. The description of man's invention (a rocket) and the god's creation (the sprouting seedling) is very well brought out by the clever usage of language. The contrasting feautres between the man's invented rocket and the sprouting seedling the creation of god has made me to conclude that this poem is a romantic aswell as an anti-industrial poem. it also shows the selfish nature of man and the double standards maintaiend by him.

"Fueled" by Marcie Hans appears to be a very unsophisticated poem with a lucid theme, manifesting the disparity between the appreciation of mundane inventions and the enigmatic creation of the almighty. It dicernibly shows that man never realises the true worth of things close to him and the things which are the very core of his existence. The poet spawns a very intense picture depicting the bias a man posseses inadvertently. The stylistics used or the lack of it accentuates on the severe austerity of the peom.It shows that the poet was in no satirical mood while writing this poem.he rather indignantly brings forth his reasoning. He expresses his feeling point-blank without any poetic twists and curls.
The poem in no way appears to be a romantic poem since we dont see Marcie Hans opposing the brillance of human genius in any way. This poem
basically tries to say that man shouldnt incarcarate himself to the
to the appreciation of worldly things but also admire and cherish the beautiful and mystical creations
of God i.e.the nature and cease to be apathetic to the fact that he is a part of it.

The magnificent creation “FUELED” of Marcie Hans is an extra-marvellous composition to stir up mankind and human soul and to bring forth into light the deviation and bifurcation of people’s mind away from God, collaboration of human misery with so-called “Upgrading Technology”.

A clear illustration of the illusion has been depicted on the basis of poem, that thousands of men are assimilating their resources as well as energy to launch the Rocket (more of whose part is structured for destruction), ignoring the fact completely like an Atheist! that a mere thought of God has resulted the bud come out of its seed and pierce out of the earth.

The poem has indirectly focussed on man’s selfish and man’s praise-seeking desires(thereby, inventing and innovating with complexity rather simplicity). His selfish nature has has been shown in a very stylistic way in this very poem:
Appropiate use of hyphens is to provide rhythm. Full stops, to mark the difference between the creation and invention. Nevertheless, the use of single words in last four lines implies man’s deep sleep of ignorance from God’s miracles.

Commenting the poem from the viewpoint of general common man, it is one extra lump of words put together, disseminating no extra joy or pleasure of reading it. But if read through inner-eye of a common man, it portrays the art and heart poured in composing the poem to communicate the right material to the right person at the right time. In this connection, I would like to acknowledge too Marcie Hans for composing a masterpiece.

Apart from the dichotomy mentioned above, the poet has clearly contrasted the poem as an anti-industrial and romantic, better in words, romantic towards Nature. The anti-industrial contradiction could be seen in the following ways:
· God’s creation anabolises, while man’s catabolises (Pollution)
· Industrialisation leads to a havoc of segmentation amongst the people.
· Man’s creation avails him stress & monotony, while god’s creation soothes as a balm for bruised heart.

Substantially, Can the Man jeopardise/risk at the dire consequences of overestimating his capabilities with God’s rumination?

I would like to take this oppurtunity to spread the message where You are requested by Marcie Hans to facilitate proximising the extremity between god and man, with a minimum of delay.

The poem "fuelled" depicts a contrast between the beautiful creations of god and the harmful inventions of man.Marcie Hans talks of how man requires "a million man made wings of fire" to create his rocket while a single thought from god is sufficient to create a plant or man himself.Man makes a number of attempts before he succeeds in his inventions. He is very proud of his inventions and seems to enjoy the attention he gets whereas God is humble and expects no appaulse for his unique and beautiful creations. It contrasts the destructive nature of man's inventions and the goodness of god's creations.Man has grown arrogant and withdrawn himself from nature. He has no time to appreciate god's miraculous creations as he is very busy in his own glory of inventions, failing to realise it is self destructive.
The poet uses a very unique and distinct style in putting across his ideas-he seems to use only two kinds of punctuations through out the poem.He also uses many interesting metaphors to take the imagination of the readers to a higher level-for example:'million man made wings of fire'.The poet also seems to avoid the use of rhyming words which is the usual practice. Some lines consist of single words to emphasize on certain ideas, such as how man appreciates his own creations.
The poet criticises the effect of the industrial revolution as it seems to be leading to the doom of mankind. He tries to create an awakening among men as to help them realize the immortality of God's creations in comparison to their destructive ways!!

“Marie Hans” poem “Fueled” is structurally a perfect masterpiece. The poem seems to be simple but it had deeper meaning, which talks about creation and invention. The poet compares two different forces in the poem i.e. the rocket launch with the sprouting of a seedling.

The poet has beautifully expressed the dichotomy between the greatness of god’s creation and the pettiness of mans invention. The imbalance between the two is pointed out as man cheers himself for his pseudo achievement but noone seems to appreciate the silent success of God who by a mere thought helped a seedling to grow into a tree. The poem goes a long way in showing the difference between man and God on the basis of their perception of achievement. Man has achieved destruction while God has achieved the beautiful earth. The poet expresses that human beings are always appreciated but the wonders of creation are always ignored which is sheer arrogance on the part of mankind.

Secondly, I would also like to throw light on the stylistic features of the poem. The poet has maintained his own distinct which keeps him away from the crowd. The poem was divided into two sections and both of the sections starting from the word “fueled” which also holds importance as the title of the poem. Both the events i.e. the launch of the rocket and surfacing of the sapling have been described by different types of words. The former which represents man’s destructive invention is described by strong words such as ‘fire’, ‘rocket’ etc. while the later which represents wonders of creation is described by mild and soft words like ‘thought from god’, ‘urged its way’ etc. The poet has used very short sentences and towards the end only one word is used in a sentence to emphasize on the fact that Gods creation is considered to be a petty one by the man and man does not applaud god for his wonders. The poet has used only two kinds of punctuations, that are- (.) and (-) which makes his style of writing distinct. The poet uses phrases like ‘wings of fire’, ‘the heavy sealing of the soil’ to explain the intensity of the situation. One more feature that is noticeable is every sentence except the one starting with ‘fueled’ starts with lower case.

'Fuelled' is a mind-blowing piece that visually exhibits the futility of technology. The poem is a contrast between the creator’s creation and the paucity of man's invention. It exhibits the dilemma of man and its own creation.
Firstly the poem describes the mob cheering at the launch of a rocket and the secondly it displays the growth of a sapling from the earth. Both the sections begin with the word 'fuelled' that also forms the title of the poem. The rocket launch exhibits the audacity of man’s invention. The stylish nature and appearance of the poem speaks volumes of its influence on the reader. the second stanza shows exhibit the paucity of mans invention. It points out the fact that man is so used to pollution, dirt, visual progress and the victims of their invention.
To bring out the significance of the poem the poet uses single words and lay great emphasis on each word. It brings out the harsh reality that man is in a desperate want of security and technology advancement that he is ready to sacrifice any necessity want.
It is a romantic poem. It is believed that human beings are born ignorant but age and time develops the feeling of greed and avarice. God is shown as the epitome of humility. To highlight the metaphors the poet takes the help of hyphens (-) which makes the reader reflect on these aspects. Thus the poet has been quiet successful in bringing out the audacity and paucity of mankind and beautifully exhibits the importance of nature in human life.

‘Marcie Hans” is influenced by Romanticism as age-old poets like Wordsworth and Coleridge. “Fuelled” is a perfect masterpiece of Marcie in what we see a contrast between God’s creation and man’s invention. By going through the poem I comprehended on the fact that men are masters of their own destiny and they get what they deserve and hoe well they utilize their opportunities. Human beings think this world to be a stage and they perform accordingly. “ By a million man-made wings of fire” tell us that man has tried several times and at last he was able to succeed. And when he succeeds people started cheering him and he started booting about himself. The emergence of seed from sapling is also highlighted here. Poet uses distinct style of his own. With no punctuations as such and the line consisting maximum of 5 words and majority of one word shows us the uniqueness of poet’s creativity. This poem is romantic in the sense that human are born equal and are essentially good but it is this corrupt society that nurture them and then they might become selfish, haughty and proud in nature. But God’s creation will always remain beautiful and is permanent, unlike man’s inventions, which are temporarily. Man’s inventions are shattering God’s beautiful inventions. But, when man will realize what he is doing then there will only be an eerie silence……..--à 05d1273..Navneet

The poem FUELED by Marcie Hans digs out the difference between creations of GOD and inventions of man…it depicts a contrast between what God and man’s creations…
In this poem both God and mans creations are compared where the poet highlights mans stupidity to ignore Gods creations and live in the praise of his self destructive inventions…to complement the contrast and comparison another beautiful comparison between mans rocket and Gods seed is done…the fact that Gods silent and small works are so important for the survival of the human race today…man is living in his own glory forgetting his creator and his master creations…the poet here issues a warning for the human race to stop heading towards its own doom...he wants them to realize and rediscover Gods creations give the m there due importance…he wants them not to use their own technology to their own destruction but to help nature bloom just bigger and better… he’s asking people to get out of the shell and breathe in reality…….!!!!!

The poem Fueled by Marcie Hans shows the contrast between God's creation and Man's invention.Man's invention is done at an expense where as God's creation is full free of cost and that too beautiful and admirable.God creates to help the people where as man invents to destroy.Man does not realise the greatness in the creation of god and thinks that his invention as greater, but his invention is the actual cause for his destruction.
The poem is written in a manner which is very effective. The placement of words is done in such a way so that the reader get the point very effectively.

The poet says that mankind today is more drawn towards the artificail inventions and avoids and ignores the beauty of naural happenings. A rocket seems to overpower a seedling that grows into a plant for man today. Little does he know that inventions are not permanent and infact they are self destructive. The poet also uses metaphores like "Wings of fire" and "Through the sky" which denote the ultimate power of man's creations and others like "Through the thickness of black" and "The heavy ceiling of the soil" which signify the purity and simplicity of Gods creations. How the creation of a single rocket makes man proud of himself, and how God remains humble inspite of creating the most wonderful thing of all- life, shows the romantic part of the poem.
