The Department of English, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangalore, Karnataka, is organizing a One Day National Seminar on Indian Women Writers in English on February 18, 2012.
The lead speakers are: Dr Meena Kandasamy, Poet and Writer
Dr Meena Pillai, Institute of English, Kerala University
Last date for submission of abstracts-1st February, 2012.
Date of Intimation- 7, Feb, 2012
Registration fees: Rs 200/-
Accommodation could be arranged on sharing basis @ Rs 200 per day on advance payment.

I would like to know about the thrust areas.
It is really funny. There is no email id or there is no address. I searched in the google and the St. Aloysius College has no website and the website that they have is only for MBA and IT. I called today and gave email id of mine, till now there is no reply. I do understand that most of the colleges and universities are in a hurry to conduct a conference, seminar in order to get money or spend the money that is allocated by the UGC before the end of this financial year, that ends on 31 March 2012.

I will forward the mail the organizers. I am sure they will respond in this place. I do not put post email ids of individuals unless they intend it to be public. Will check with them if they are ok with giving their email ids. If they agree will put it up here. Will also ask them to post relevant details here.
As far as I know, there is not funding from UGC or any other govt funding agency for this seminar.

You may give any titles but that should focus ONLY on Indian Women Writers in ENGLISH.
